WHAT CONSTITUTES BIBLICAL TIME?

Ask yourself these questions.  When did God create Adam and Eve? When did He destroy all living beings except those on the ark?  When did these historical events take place?  Is there an unbreakable mathematic principle that God used to establish time and it is answered in the Bible?

Introduction to Biblical Time

Most people do not consider the Bible a time sensitive book. In reality it stands on an accurate passage of time; but it is much different than the calendar in use today, the Gregorian calendar. Herein lays a problem. This is because the English translation of the Bible uses the terms “years” and “months.” These terms are equated to how time is defined today. God uses a different system and for the majority of people this is why. Including accepted scholars of the Bible they do not know how the Bible tracks time.

GOD’S SACRED CALENDAR VS GREGORIAN YEAR

Understanding the difference between God’s sacred calendar year (the solar year,) and the Gregorian year (present day calendar,) is an important distinction for correctly tracking time. Both God’s sacred year and the solar year begin in the spring as God points out to Moses in Exodus 12:1-2. “Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying ‘This month shall be your beginning month; it shall be the first month of the year to you.’”

Video Timeline #01 WHAT CONSTITUTES BIBLICAL TIME?

As this is a timeline of the bible we need to first understand what constitutes time. Have you ever considered when time began and what it is? Without two events being tied together there is no meaning to the measurement of time.

Errors that Nullify the Jewish Calendar

A criticism that is leveled against the Jewish system (Hebrew system) of setting the Passover date for any year requires that they look to the first of Tishri—Feast of Trumpets. They then figure backward to establish the Passover of that year. This faulty logic is based on their belief that the first day of Tishri was the first day of creation (which it was not).

A criticism that is leveled against the Jewish system (Hebrew system) of setting the Passover date for any year requires that they look to the first of Tishri—Feast of Trumpets. They then figure backward to establish the Passover of that year. This logic appears faulty until one knows that their belief that the first day of Tishri was the first day of creation.
